Although United resumed weekly charter service to Belize in June for controlled repatriations, the airline is expected to gradually increase service in October. United Airlines is expecting to resume service with 5 weekly flights from Houston (HOU). On United Airlines travelers can find one way flight for the first week of October starting at $370 USD.
American Airlines – October 1
American Airlines has kicked off its relaunch in the Caribbean, with the return of service to Antigua. The airline’s first international Caribbean flight touched down the end of June at Antigua’s VC Bird International Airport. Importantly, it marked what the carrier called a “significant milestone,” since it resumed operations to the Caribbean since COVID-19 travel restrictions began being lifted. American Airlines, to serve Belize (BZE) with once daily flights from Miami (MIA), is expected to resume service as of October 1, 2020. On American Airlines travelers can find one-way flights for the first week of October starting at $116 USD. Those flying must wear a face mask. However, the policy also does not apply while eating or drinking.
Delta Air Lines – Expected to return in November 2020
Delta is expected to resume service to Belize (BZE) with 3 weekly flights from Atlanta (ATL) November 22, 2020, as announced by PM Barrow during the virtual press conference. To prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus on airplanes, U.S. airlines have recently cracked down on passengers who do not follow requirements to wear face coverings. Additionally, Delta has already banned some passengers from future travel on Delta for refusing to wear a mask on board. With Delta, travelers can find one-way flights for the end of November starting at $280 USD.
Southwest Airlines – Expected to return in 2021
While Southwest resumes service to the Caribbean, flights to Belize is expected to remain suspended until 2021 as Southwest will operate 35 fewer international routes this winter than it did at the end of 2019.
Seasonal Scheduled Flights from Canada
Airlines like WestJet and Air Canada continue to have Belize on their seasonal flight schedule. Seasonal flights typically come weekly and range between fall and spring, depending on the carrier.
