by Khaila Gentle

Stargazing, picnics, treks through the rainforest, candelit dinners beside the sea. These are just a handful of romantic dates that you can have in the tropical paradise that is Belize. And according to the editors over at Travel Noire, Belize is perhaps one of the best places for a romantic vacation in the Caribbean. That’s because three of the publication’s five picks for Romantic Caribbean Vacations for Valentine’s Day are Belize resorts (or resort collections, but more on that later).

In the article, written by Bruno Bragga, Travel Noire rounds up some of the best ongoing travel deals for anyone seeing a romantic trip.  It notes “These beautifully tailored packages in these Caribbean retreats provide some of the most luxurious experiences. Private sunset cruises, luxurious lodgings, five-star food, and sumptuous spa treatments are among them. From rainforest lodges to beachside resorts, and everything in between, these getaways will set the tone for a memorable Valentine’s Day.”

Here are the three Belize resorts featured on Travel Noire’s list.

Blue Marlin Beach Resort sits fourteen miles away from Belize’s Dangriga Town. It’s set on the gorgeous South Water Caye and offers an isolated island escape for you and your soulmate. The entire island is peppered with palm trees and has a very laid-back vibe –  perfect for a romantic detox vacation.

South Water Caye is a great way to get away from it all. Even better though, is the fact that the island sits directly on the Belize Barrier Reef. Easily the most popular marine attraction in Belize, the barrier reef is a prime location for snorkeling, diving, and even fishing
