From Panama to Calgary, increased flight service connecting to Belize has been making travel to the country a whole lot easier for those in North and Central America. For starters, JetBlue just launched the first-ever direct flight from New York to Belize. And beyond that, there are quite a few options for travelers seeking some Belizean sunshine. In case you needed a refresher, here are some of the airlines that have started to offer new and increased flight service to Belize or will do so soon.

JetBlue Airlines
Direct Flights from New York (JFK) to Belize (BZE)
As of Wednesday, December 6th, JetBlue Airlines began its nonstop service to Belize out of John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
The new direct flight service opens up a whole new world of travel for those living on the U.S. East Coast, and it was welcomed with open arms by Belize’s Ministry of Tourism. Flights are available year-round and thrice weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.

American Airlines
Increased Flights from Miami to Belize (and More!)
American Airlines has already begun to ramp up its service to Belize, now offering two flights from Dallas every Saturday. Meanwhile, starting December 20th, the airline will be doubling its flights out of Miami.
It’s a service that’s expected to run until summer 2024. Additionally, as of December 6th, American has increased service out of Charlotte (CLT) to daily.

Copa Airlines
Increased Flights from Panama to Belize
Connecting travelers to the rest of Central America as well as South America, Copa Airlines will soon be increasing connection between Belize and Panama, says the Belize Tourism Board. For January 2024, the airline is planning to add an additional flight to Belize.
Earlier this year, the airline began offering twice-weekly service to Belize – every Tuesday and Friday. In January, there will be one extra flight departing on Fridays.

Delta Airlines
Increased Flights from Atlanta
Set to begin January 2024, Delta Airlines will be offering an extra flight on Saturdays out of Atlanta, Georgia (ATL). This service is expected to run through March 2024 and is in addition to daily flights that the airline already offers.
The new Saturday flight will depart Atlanta at 11:05 am and arrive in Belize at 1:21 pm.
WestJet
Extended Direct Flight Service to Belize Out of Canada
WestJet will be extending it’s usual winter flight service to Belize, says the BTB. Nonstop service from Calgary has been extended for two additional weeks and will now end in May 2024.
Meanwhile, nonstop service from Toronto will be extended by a month, ending May 25, 2024.

Alaska Airlines
Direct Flights from LAX to BZE
As of November, Alaska Airlines has begun its daily direct flight service to Belize from Los Angeles. The announcement for the new service, eagerly welcomed by both American travelers and the Belizean diaspora, was made this past summer at Belize’s first-ever airlift development forum.
Flights depart LAX daily at 10:45 am, arriving in Belize at 4:28 pm.
