Americans on the east coast with a bad case of wanderlust have reason to celebrate this week. Come December 6, 2023, JetBlue Airways will be starting new non-stop flights to Belize out of New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK). Tickets are already on sale.
Set Your Sights on the Caribbean This Winter
Known as New York’s Hometown Airline®, carrier JetBlue has set its sights on expanding connectivity to the Caribbean, announcing that it will be adding new non-stop flight services to both Belize and St.Kitts. As a result, New Yorkers and other Americans on the east coast can set their sights on easily accessed tropical destinations for the winter. With the flights set to start this December, there’s no better time than now to start planning that long dreamt of Caribbean vacation.
Exchange chilly temperatures and concrete jungles for warm seas, sandy beaches, and lush rainforests. In Belize, December is one of the most popular months for travel, and with good reason, too. Its towns, villages, and islands (cayes) are all buzzing with activity. December also marks the start of the dry season which means there will be few rain clouds in sight to put a damper on your travel plans.
From snorkeling the barrier reef and island hopping to rejuvenating escapes in the Maya Mountains, this small mainland Caribbean nation has a lot to offer even the most intrepid of travelers.
