Today, JetBlue flight #2781 is the carrier’s first-ever non-stop flight to Belize from New York. The airline inaugurated its new non-stop service to the country, met with much fanfare at the John F. Kennedy International Airport.
According to the Belize Tourism Board, the mini-inauguration ceremony featured tourism board officials as well as officials from JetBlue. Additionally, passengers boarding the flight were treated to Belize swag and Garifuna drumming. Meanwhile, at the Philip Goldson International Airport, JetBlue officials were welcomed by Belize’s Prime Minister, Hon. John Briceno, Tourism Minister, Hon. Anthony Mahler, and other government officials.

Increased Connectivity to Belize
The new non-stop service by JetBlue is one in a long lineup of direct flights to Belize that are increasing connectivity between the country and major North American cities.
Earlier this year, JetBlue announced that it had set its sights on expanding connectivity to the Caribbean, sharing that it would be adding new non-stop flight services to both Belize and St.Kitts. As a result, New Yorkers and other Americans on the East Coast will now be able to easily access their favorite tropical destinations this winter. Flights from JFK to BZE will be available year-round, three times weekly. Weekly service will be operating with the following schedule on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday:
