As far as honeymoon destinations go, the Caribbean region is oozing with romance. According to TripAdvisor, though, there are a few countries in the region that stand out as the best of the best destinations for some post-nuptial bliss. The Dominican Republic, Jamaica, St. Lucia, Belize, Barbados, and Antigua all made the cut for the 2024 TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Awards, each earning a “Best of the Best” badge. 04. Dominican Republic

The DR delights visitors with its mix of white-sand beaches and “gingerbread” Victorian architecture. Nine hundred miles of Caribbean coastline make the Hispaniola Island country a beach-lovers paradise. Day trip to Puerto Plata and ride the cable car up Mount Isabel de Torres, or groove to the steel drum beats of Cabarete nightlife. 14. Ambergris Caye, Belize

Ambergris Caye hovers in a vacation sweet spot: just enough amenities to make it exciting, but not so overdeveloped that you’re tripping over flip-flopped tourists. A mangrove swamp is the eye of this white beach island, the largest in Belize, and golf carts are the main form of transportation along the sandy roads. Reef divers drool over the Belize Barrier Reef and the Blue Hole, a 400-feet deep circle of limestone that teems with angelfish, elkhorn coral, cleaner shrimp and stalactites.
