Travel to Belize will soon be much easier thanks to new updates to its arrival process. As of December 2024, persons entering the country will now be able to fill out their immigration forms and customs declarations electronically. It’s a move that is expected to make the process of entering the country more streamlined and one that will certainly be welcomed by travelers the world over.
According to the country’s Immigration Department, both paper and digital forms will be available over the next three months. After, the process is expected to go fully digital. The transition is a part of a larger plan by the Government of Belize to eliminate most paper forms by Spring 2025. Those entering through other ports can expect to see similar changes come early 2025.
