This holiday season, be sure to check out these Christmas markets that will be popping up in Belize in December. They’re sure to help put you in a festive mood! 

A Christmas Marketplace at Mapp Street 

When: December 9th, 2023 | 3PM to 9PM

Where: Mapp Street Marketplace, Belize City 

Belize City cafe, Mapp Street Marketplace, will be hosting their monthly pop-up shop on December 9th, this time with an extra festive twist. Kickstart the holiday season by browsing offerings by a handful of local vendors. With everything from books and manga to jewelry and local art on sale, you’ll be sure to find something to gift that special someone – no matter their tastes. 

 

Guava Limb’s Christmas Night Market 

When: December 9th, 2023 | 5PM to 9PM

Where: Macal River Park, San Ignacio Town 

Music, fun, and food will combine to make for a fun night in town at this San Ignacio Christmas Night Market, hosted by popular local restaurant Guava Limb. In addition to supporting local entrepreneurs, get a taste of Belize’s unique street food scene. Plus, enjoy 2-for-1 cocktails, musical entertainment, and food specials courtesy of Guava Limb. 

The Farmer’s Market at Trey’s  

When: December 9th, 2023

Where: Trey’s Barn & Grill, Teakettle Village (Off the George Price Highway) 

Trey’s Barn & Grill in the Cayo District is known for serving up good eats with a side of family-friendly fun. That has especially been the case since they introduced monthly farmer’s markets. The markets offer a range of artisanal food, drinks, home decor, and accessories made in Belize. There are also usually fun activities for everyone ranging from facepainting to crotchet circles.

Placencia Village Council’s Christmas Night Market 

When: December 9th, 2023 | 4PM Until

Where: The Placencia Pier (Placencia Village)

If you’ll be on the Placencia Peninsula this December, be sure to head to Placencia Village for the second annual Christmas Night Market, hosted by the local village council. There will be a boat parade as well as a rum popo competition and tons of prize giveaways. The date of the market coincides with the Placencia End of the World Marathon, so it’s an entire day of fun for everyone. 

Travellers Liquors Annual X-Mas Bazaar

When: December 16th, 2023 | 9 AM to 4PM

Where: Travellers Liquors Compound, Belize City 

For the spirits aficionados, enjoy special discounts on Travellers Liquors products at their annual X-Mas Bazar. Snag a bottle (or two) of the recently launched Ruta Maya Rum. The Belize Travelling Market at Bradley’s Backyaad Barbecue

Where: Bradley’s Backyaad Barbecue, Belize City

From Hopkins to San Ignacio, the Belize Travelling Market has been popping up around the country all year long. This December, they’re finishing the year off in Belize City at the seaside BBQ eatery Bradley’s Backyaad Barbecue. Enjoy shopping local crafts with a side of refreshing sea breeze at this Christmas market. The Belize Travelling Market has offered items ranging from hand-poured candles and treats for fur babies to locally-made sangria and pan-fried dumplings. 

The Garden City Night Market – December Edition

Where: Itz’ana Resort on the Placencia Peninsula 

A monthly happening, the Itz’ana Marketplace has become a Sunday staple in the world of Placencia experiences. Here, discover plenty of artisan crafts and homemade treats, from handcrafted clay jewelry right down to tasty jams. This December, it’s taking place on the 17th – and it promises to be an extra special Christmas edition.
