You’re already thinking about it, so why not take a mini-break this Fall? Besides a much-welcomed mental release, traveling during a traditional “shoulder season” means this period of time (from weeks up to months) between Belize’s traditional low and high season of tourism means extra deals. It’s much easier to stay on budget, there are fewer people, better access to popular attractions, and beyond. That is, without sacrificing good weather.

So how can you make your hard-earned dollars go further once you’ve figured out how to save for a vacation? Try adopting these strategies for jet-setting to Belize during the shoulder season—your wallet and aversion to crowds will thank you. Here’s a few to shoulder season steals in Belize to keep an eye out for:

It’ll be a quick pause in service, but Tipsy Tuna Seaside Bar & Sports Lounge will close on September 20 for repairs. They’ll be back soon—to be announced on their social media—but this colorful spot on the beach in Placencia is worth waiting for.

And just like that, another wonderful season is coming to an end! It’s been an incredible past year since their reopening last Fall. For the 2021 season, Matachica Resort will be closed from September 7th to 20th for their seasonal closure. Despite being physically closed, the Matachica reservations team is still available for any bookings or inquiries. See you back at Matachica soon!

Head 20 minutes south of the airport, where you’ll find Victoria House, a gorgeous, colonial-style property with luxurious suites, casitas, and family-friendly houses facing the water.

It’s only 3 weeks, so don’t be too sad! Belize’s Victoria House Resort & Spa is scheduled to close September 22nd to October 14th to set two miles outside of the town, the immaculate white sand beach is seemingly curated for social distancing. On site, 42 rooms shines across 10 acres as intimate and casual; rooms vary in size and style, however they all have garden and ocean views of the Caribbean Sea. Choose from a Casita, Plantation Room, Suite or Private Villas; and for dining, bounce between the Admiral’s Bar and Palmilla Restaurant. So while Victoria House is an award-winning luxury resort, you can expect a casual, relaxed and comfortable vibe.
