The Caribbean remains the top destination for travelers seeking sun and sand and Belize is one of the Caribbean Islands that offers these pleasurable elements in abundance. Ranking at number six among Canada’s top ten outbound destinations, Belize is also among the Top 10 countries in 2022 awarded by Lonely Planet. It features lush forests and beautiful beaches characterized by soft white sand, tall palm trees, and turquoise waters. Belize is home to the Belize Barrier Reef – the second largest barrier reef in the world alongside droves of other coral reefs which are excellent stages for diving. Not to mention, the dually Caribbean and Central American nation’s rich culture also adds to its appeal.

Belize’s Entry Requirements for Canadians

Canadians don’t need a visa to enter Belize and can continue to enjoy non-stop flight service from Canada with WestJet. All travelers must have a negative PCR COVID-19 test performed within 96 hours of travel or a negative result from an approved Antigen Test taken within 48 hours of travel. Either is accepted, or travelers can test inside the Belize international airport on arrival for US$50 per passenger. Children under 5 years of age will not be required to present a negative test.
