The secret’s out: fall is one of the best times for travel. As a result of this though, travelers can expect some record-breaking increases in travel costs for trips to certain destinations come Fall 2024. In fact, some experts believe that this year may see one of the “most expensive fall travel seasons to-date”. There is some good news, though. While the average cost of international travel is up 38% from last year, according to one report by travel insurance company Squaremouth, savvy travelers are turning to the handful of destinations that still remain budget-friendly. Among them, says that report, is none other than Belize.

As the cost of travel continues to rise, says Squaremouth, travelers are actively seeking out more affordable destinations this Fall. In their report, the company lists the ten top locations where trip costs are near or below the season average. Dominating the list are countries from Latin America and the Caribbean, with the Philippines being the only outlier.
