First re-introduced on December 20, 2020, Belize officially revised its national curfew by extending its 8:00 pm curfew to 10:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays, effective April 15, 2021 with Statutory Instrument (NO. 4) REGULATIONS, 2021; curfew ends at 5:00 am the following morning. However, minors must be accompanied by an adult or guardian; otherwise, the curfew for minors is 6:00 pm. Thanks to a steady decrease in active cases and infection rates, Belize sees further relaxations besides curfew. Casinos were also given the green light to reopen, while schools reopened this week. Bars, casinos, and night clubs remain closed. Besides sanitation measures, gaming machines are arranged or made available to be used in a way that allows for social distancing of six feet between patrons of the casino.
