The Ministry of Health is equipped with test kits and has all the protocols in place to handle infected persons.

Belize is also receiving assistance and support from the PAHO/WHO local office in Belize as well as remains in communication with other Caribbean Countries as they are all coping with the virus and the effects of it on their economies.  It was also noted that travel bans will come into place when necessary and the authorities urge everyone to start avoiding non-essential travel.
