With a population of only 350,000 people in the entire country of Belize and with 8,867 square miles of land, doing the math simply shows that Belize is far from crowded. A Caribbean destination that will provide you with next-level serenity and solitude is right here waiting for you in Belize and has a number of private options to spend your next vacation at.

Belize has a long time prided itself as the “Uncrowded Caribbean” and not much has changed. The tourism product is made up of small boutique hotels and luxury mid-size resorts (20-50 rooms). The entire country only has only 1 or 2 hotels in the whole country with 100+ rooms and a handful of hotel chains.

When it comes to privacy, we have a host of options in this tiny nation. Private Island and Private Reserve Resorts offer complete privacy and are the absolute opposite of crowded. Some private resorts include just a single vacation home in the middle of nowhere, fully loaded with all the bells and whistles such as a chef and a butler. In many cases, private islands and reserves have no more than 18 villas on the entire property which means there probably would never be more than 40 other people when you visit. These properties are dotted throughout Belize and are available for both beach and jungle destinations.
