Belize is an entirely beautiful country that has over 239 miles of coastline with 400+ cayes. The most popular islands are Caye Caulker, Ambergris Caye, and Tobacco Caye. But Belize also has a number of private islands often sought out by celebrities for their privacy, being accessible only by private boat or helicopter. Here are two islands that are among the most private destinations in Belize.

Coral Caye is a very intimate island far away from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Here, your only neighbors are your travel buddies and the various bird and lizard species that inhabit the island. Located 8 miles off the coast of Placencia Village, Coral Caye was once a fishing camp. Now, it has been transformed into a luxurious stay for anyone seeking a private destination in Belize.

This Coppola Hideaway offers two cottages – Coral Cottage and the Seahorse Cottages – along with the Great House. These can accommodate from two to ten guests. This entire island comes with caretakers that provide your morning coffee, fresh fruit, breakfast, lunch, and fresh-caught seafood dinner. For an extra fee, you can experience al-fresco massages, hire a private chef, pre-order grocery items, or make a special treat for any occasion.

Raye Caye is a secluded island surrounded by small beaches that can be found in the southern part of Belize. This island exudes intimacy and romance, making it perfect for a wedding, honeymoon, or a couples’ getaway. But that’s not all. You can also host yoga retreats, family getaways, and so much more.

Oceanfront Cabañas open into small private beaches around the island. Facilities also include the fabulous ‘Lionfish Grill’ serving up Western and Belizean cuisine alongside a full bar service for tropical cocktails.

Ray Caye also has its own PADI dive shop, with free kayaks and paddleboard usage.
