Highly acclaimed publication Reader’s Digest has named Belize’s own Sirenian Bay Resort as one of the best all-inclusive resorts for families. The list was published last month and includes the Placencia resort among 19 other world-renowned resorts. The Digest’s criteria for picking these top family-centered resorts included a one-stop shop for all your needs, fun family activities, and world-class amenities. They narrowed down the coveted list by consulting with “experts who spend their careers finding the best vacation getaways for kids and families.” They also used TripAdvisor as a resource to look at ratings and reviews.

“We [Reader’s Digest] highlighted the best in each category, to make it easy for you to find the best all-inclusive resort for your family.”

A Quality Stay

It’s no surprise, then, that fan-favorite Sirenian Bay made the cut. Named the “Best Boutique All-Inclusive Resort,” Sirenian Bay was praised for its spacious two-bedroom villa suites that are perfect for families. What makes the resort convenient for families is the option to book larger villas for those larger groups. Its Manatee Villa, for instance, sleeps up to 14 guests. If you’ve been thinking of an extended family getaway, this is the ideal place to book.

Entertainment for all

One of the amazing perks of Sirenian Bay is that they provide entertainment for both adults and kids, so no family member is left out. Reader’s Digest highlighted the resort’s mini-golf course and pickleball courts as some of the major draws to the hotel. The resort also boasts a separate pool for dive-in movies. When you’ve indulged in all the on-site amenities, you can opt for some snorkeling or diving right off the coast of Placencia.

Want something more wildly adventurous? Sirenian Bay will be more than happy to arrange a zipline and cave tubing experience in Belize’s rainforest thanks to their sister company, Captain Jak’s. This way, you get to experience both the paradisiacal beaches and the wild jungles the country is known for.

Not your average all-inclusive

When we think of all-inclusive resorts, an image of large-scale buildings and a too-big property may come to mind. Getting to dinner may require a 15-minute walk on its own. But at Sirenian Bay, its lack of cookie-cutter design is its advantage. According to Reader’s Digest, Sirenian Bay’s “Intimate environment means you can easily keep an eye on the kids.” But furthermore, it means you don’t have to worry about running into crowds or dinner reservations made days in advance. You won’t have to be hunting down your room, your kids, or activities, for that matter. Sirenian Bay is for those who want all the perks of an all-inclusive coupled with all the warmth of a boutique stay.
