The month of April marks the Easter season in Belize, which means that there will likely be a whole lot going on. Stay in the know by checking out our (by no means exhaustive) list of what’s happening in Belize this month.
April 7th – 10th: Easter Weekend in Belize
It’s the longest public and bank holiday of the year in the country. And with such a grand title, it is almost a given that the coming four days will be packed with things to do and see. Destinations like San Pedro, Placencia, and Caye Caulker will come alive with locals and tourists alike who are seeking to let loose and have a memorable time. Meanwhile, for those wishing to honor the traditions of the longstanding Christian holiday, the weekend may be a more laid back and tranquil time for reflection.
Events include the annual Holy Saturday Cross Country Cycling Classic, one of Belize’s biggest cycling events of the year, horse races on Monday in Burrell Boom village, concerts, dances, festivals, and more.
April 22nd – Waves of Itz’ana Fundraising Event

April 28th – 30th: The National Agriculture and Trade Show
“Agric” as it’s locally known takes place on April 28th, 29th, and 30th in Belmopan. This three-day event is one of the biggest events for Belizeans, with many looking forward to it weeks in advance. The show began as a traditional display of livestock and agricultural products in the 70s. Today, though, it also has elements of a large festival. Enjoy family-friendly fun, including games, concerts, and a few carnival rides.
