Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has added its third property in Belize with the debut of the Turtle Island Beach Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. Located on a private island just off the west side of Ambergris Caye, the property is accessible via a complimentary five-minute boat transfer from San Pedro. The Turtle Island Beach Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham offers eight beach houses and five pet-friendly villas. Beach houses include one bedroom, a full kitchen and a terrace, while each villa accommodation comprises two bedrooms, a full kitchen and a private pool.
The resort’s amenities include an infinity pool, spa, fitness center and beach bar, as well as the Turtle Island Restaurant. Guests are provided complimentary access to kayaks and paddleboards. Recently, Belize made news as the only destination in the Caribbean that is waiving pre-testing requirements for travelers who are vaccinated.
“The resort is an idyllic private island escape with an incredible natural setting for outdoor exploration, relaxation and personal service. We are able to provide our guests a unique all-encompassing five star experience at our private island retreat,” added Daniel Reigl, General Manager of Turtle Island Beach Resort.
The property is also home to a turtle sanctuary lagoon, where several turtles are undergoing rehabilitation.
It joins the Costa Blu Beach Resort, Trademark Collection by Wyndham and Ramada by Wyndham Princess Belize City in Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ Belize portfolio. Launched in 2017, Wyndham’s Trademark Collection soft brand specializes in “distinctive, attainable accommodations” within the upper-midscale-and-above segment.
