If you’re a fan of all things seafood, then now’s the time to be enjoying Belize’s spiny lobster. That’s because in just a little more than 10 days, the country’s lobster season will be coming to a close. The Caribbean Spiny Lobster, as delicious as it is worth protecting, has a closed season that runs from March 1st to June 30 every year. During that time, anyone found catching or in possession of the spiny lobster will find themselves facing prosecution in accordance with the Fisheries Department’s Fisheries Resources Act. So, make sure you sustainably savor this delectable sea crustacean while you still can.
