On March 30th, 2020 Caribbean Lifestyle welcomed Carolee Chanona! Starting “remotely” as the newest member to our publication team, Carolee joins as our Editorial Director here at Caribbean Culture + Lifestyle.
Carolee grew up in the shadow of the Sleeping Giant and developed a sense of adventure and conservation ethic at an early age. Undoubtedly, nature’s bounty on her family farm encouraged a love for cooking. Carolee’s experience then grew in her 2-year tutelage under Chef Sean Kuylen and Flavors of Belize. Passionate about sustainability, Carolee gained a Bachelor’s in Environmental Policy from USF. On coming home, she became Belize Audubon Society‘s Membership Service Manager for 3 years. In this position, Carolee first-hand witnessed Belize’s rich culture, warm connections, and diverse habitats. She made great connections before deciding to focus on tourism with CC+L. As a self-proclaimed local foodie and staycation-enthusiast, we welcome Carolee to continue promoting the very best of Belize! Together, we look forward to the future of CC+L.
