A First Look At Marriott’s Branded Beach Villas In Belize: Alaia

Combining hotel rooms, condominiums, and rental units, the Alaia Belize is Marriot International‘s new oceanfront home collection in Belize. Alaia’s Beach Villas, part of a 155-unit community resort, is slated to open early 2021. Honoring San Pedro’s laid-back fishing undertones and emerging luxury palate, the island’s newest boutique resort community spans more than 20 acres with direct access to 1,000-plus square feet of warm, white sand beach.

Own Alaia Belize

Each of the Alaia’s condominiums offers ocean views, 900 square feet of outside space and more than 1,200 square feet of interior space. Prices range from $349,000 to around $1 million. Owners can enjoy their units themselves or rent them out through the Alaia’s onsite, experienced property management team. Owners who don’t live full time in Belize can opt their condos or villas into a rental program; that is booked through Marriott International’s reservation system. On-site, the hotel will include a suspended rooftop pool and lounge, beach club, full-service spa, fitness center. Services are in addition to Alaia’s art gallery, wine club, casual and formal dining, and adventure concierge, plus a sailing and water club.

Set to Debut Early 2021

Award-winning Brazilian interior designed Debora Aguiar curated eight oceanfront villas at Alaia Belize.

At Alaia Belize, you can expect hospitality, intimacy, and the personality of the island. Moreover, the eco-luxury hotel integrates Belize’s natural materials with 70% of fabrics and raw materials locally sourced. Award-winning Brazilian interior designer Debora Aguiar focuses on the various textures of fibers, stones, woods, fabrics; or reuse of stones, woods and coatings in general. Amenities, like its full-service spa and suspended rooftop lounge, are designed to stimulate the five sense. “From the reception to the lobby. From the apartment to the circulations, and from the beach bar to the spa,” Aguiar adds.

First launching in 2017, Alaia Belize enters final stages of construction as the first development of its kind in Ambergris Caye. Due to the delays amidst a national lockdown, Alaia Belize has decided to push their opening debut for early 2021. However, construction is slated to be completed by December 2020.
