The Adventure Issue

It’s Adventure Time!

No, we aren’t talking about the cartoon. This is real life, adrenaline-fueled, awe-inspiring explorations we’re talking about! The 5th issue of Caribbean Culture and Lifestyle is finally here! Appropriately named “The Adventure Issue”, it showcases Belize as the most desirable destination to explore. With recent noteworthy mentions in the international press, the once “best-kept secret”, has become the next big escapade!

About the Cover

The cover was shot by non-other than the Leonardo Melendez Photography team. Capturing the cover of the latest CC+L magazine was an epitome of adventure. Taking the Maya Blue Hole Tour aboard a Cessna Caravan 208 on the day that the long-anticipated Blue Hole Exploration was happening was enough to have everyone’s blood pumping. The cover features an aerial view of the Great Blue Hole seen through the window of a Maya plane. The striking images showcase a historic scene. The mission support vessels, BELIZE AGGRESSOR III (M/Y BA III) & Research Vessel Brooks McCall (R/V Brooks McCall), as well as two other boats, could be seen. While the famed Fabien Cousteau and Richard Branson investigated the depths below, we captured it unfolding from above.

Find out What’s Inside!

Within the Adventure issue, readers looking for an extreme adventure or a more relaxed one will find that Belize is the place to let their inner explorer loose. Read about how you can push your limits, hiking the mother of all trails, the Victoria Peak Natural Monument. Consider joining in on a Kayak race that runs the length of the country’s coast. Find a guide for the adventure curious to suit every fitness level, and delve deeper into the Belizean experience with a piece on a Maya Homestay that will have you dreaming of grinding your own cacao beans! Find the magazine in all the seat back pockets of Maya’s planes or in affiliated hotel rooms. You can also enjoy this pleasant read online. The E-book version is available on the website.

Experience Maya’s Blue Hole Tour

A bird’s eye view of the Belize Barrier Reef and its length of jewel-toned beauty is not only noteworthy experience but one that offers an important perspective on the need to protect Marine habits and life. The one hour tours will take you over well-known sites like Shark Ray Alley, Turneffe Atoll, the Ocean Freighter Wreck, and Lighthouse Reef. The highlight of the tour is a perfect view of the Great Blue Hole. Watch as hues of turquoise and seafoam green turn into the deep navy. Two revolutions around the Blue Hole offer a new appreciation for the largest marine sinkhole in the world.
