What’s Happening in Belize in February

The month of February is the month of love. In addition to romantic dinners and unbeatable Valentine’s Day deals, there’s a lot happening in the country this month. Looking for something to do or somwehere to go? Here’s what’s happening in Belize in February 2023.

Saturday, Februay 4 – Los Angeles Azules Concert

This Saturday in Orange Walk Town enjoy the musical stylings of Los Angeles Azules. Perhaps one of the biggest latin concerts to take place in Belize for some years now, it’s happening at the People’s Stadium as part of the Festival Latino Centro Americano. Tickets start at $75 for general entry.

Saturday, February 4 – Belize Travelling Market

The Belize Travelling Market, a curated market that brings together local artisans and small businesses, will be in Belize city this weekend. They’ll be at the Harbour View Boutique Hotel and Yoga Retreat. There, you’ll be able to shop for a variety of handmade crafts, jewelry, and other locally made gifts, snacks, and drinks.

Saturday, Feb. 4 & Sunday, Feb. 5 – Annual Tribute to Bob Marley (Fundraiser)

The 19th annual Bob Marley Tribute, hosted by renowned local philanthropist Joel “Dara” Robinson, takes place this February. The tribute serves as a fundraiser in support of Dara’s feeding program.

The program provides a hot meal daily for over fifty students, many of whom are at risk children and teens. Robinson always welcomes the support of businesses and the community to keep the program going.  (He also hosts an annual tribute to reggae legend Lucky Dube later in the year).

The Bob Marley Tribute takes place on Saturday, February 4th and on Sunday, February 5 at the Bird’s Isle Restaurant in Belize City.  It will feature performances from a number of local artists and DJs.

Sunday, February 5 – Itz’ana Artisan Market

Spend your Sunday exploring, shopping, and indulging at Itz’ana’s monthly Artisan Market. Get the chance to support local artists, artisans, and entrepreneurs. You can expect to find everything from haircare products to gluten free pastries.

Saturday, Feb. 11 & Sunday, Feb. 12 – Placencia Sidewalk Art Festival

The 18th annual Placencia Sidewalk Art Festival takes place this month. This long-awaited Belize festival is making its return after a two-year long pandemic-induced hiatus. Watch as the famous Placencia Sidewalk transforms into a kaleidoscope of colorful artwork and handmade crafts. Then enjoy plenty of Belizean music, food, and drinks.

Wednesday, Feb. 13 – The Belize Collection’s Valentine’s Day Giveaway

It’s not too late to enter The Belize’s Collection’s annual giveaway for a chance to win amazing prizes. The giveaway closes on February 13th.  Prizes include a two-night stay for two at the Sleeping Giant Lodge, a two-night stay for two at the Lodge at Jaguar Reef, a flyover tour of the Blue Hole, and much (much) more.

Saturday, February 25 – Game Night at Itz’ana

Also happening in Belize this February, the Luna Bar at Itz’ana Resort in Placencia will come alive at 6:00pm. Enjoy Copalli Rum inspired cocktails while playing “Weh Yuh Di Seh” a Belizean card game created by Miss Earth 2021 herself, Destiny Wagner.
