How This Placencia Resort Made The Big Screen on Access Hollywood

by Gisselle Hernandez

It’s safe to say more people are becoming aware of where pint-sized Belize is. Inevitably, this leads to more inevitably wanting to make the trip to the tropics to see the wonders themselves. A country boasting lush rainforests, eclectic wildlife, and world-class snorkeling, Belize continues to be put on the map, whether by reputable travel publications or trusty travel experts. There’s no shortage of the latter. And the latest to honor Belize with their presence was TV host and lifestyle expert, Lindsay Myers. However, the Los Angeles-based travel consultant has become a regular feature on the largely popular entertainment-focused show Access Hollywood. When she came to Placencia, Belize earlier this month, Access Hollywood co-hosts Mario Lopez and Kit Hoover invited Myers to share her travels with more than a million viewers

The travel segment is named “Lindsay on Location,” which showed Myers calling in from the beautiful beachfront in Placencia. Myers recounted the marvels the small Caribbean country offers, including the food, music, and easy accessibility from the US. The travel influencer soon revealed the resort she was staying at was Sirenian Bay Resort & Villas. This prompted Access to splash the screens with a beautiful clip of Myers lounging by the resort’s large pool.

A Placencia resort worthy of the Access Hollywood big screen

“[This Placencia resort] is the first ever to offer all-inclusive in Belize,” Myers gushed to Access Hollywood as the palm trees swayed behind her. The blogger described her dream stay in a lengthy blog post on her website. Thereafter, she detailed how breezy it was to get a domestic flight from the main airport to the peninsula. Myers stayed in one Sirenian’s spacious pool-side bungalows, which she described as “a stone’s throw away” from the outdoor bar.

“Another reason the resort feels so special is that the owners put so much love and care into every detail,” Myers writes. She lists out the myriad activities available on-site, as well as the off-site adventures she immersed herself in.

One-of-a-kind experiences

We know Belize gives off a well-balanced lifestyle of reef & rainforest and activities and luckily Myers got to experience both. Alternatively, apart from ziplining through the dense jungle and snorkeling with sharks, Myers indulged in the many amenities at Sirenian Bay.

“The Sirenian Resort brings adventures to you,” Myers writes, highlighting the property’s professional 18-hole mini-golf course – the only one in Belize. She also received a special spa treatment at the resort’s spa salon, Siren’s Spa. The cacao wrap treatment involves painting cacao all over the body, then being wrapped in Banana leaves, plastic, and a blanket. These natural ingredients used are to detox and moisturize the skin.

“My skin felt so soft and fresh after the treatment, and I smelled like chocolate for days!”

As if that unique experience wasn’t enough, the resort also hosted a slew of Garifuna drummers one night to showcase their drumming and dance skills at Inky’s, their on-site restaurant.

Guests fully engaged, dancing drumming, and overall joining in on the fun. Although for guests that choose to do their own activities right off the property, Sirenian Bay offers paddleboards, kayaks, and even bicycles.

Fry Jacks are a staple for a Belizean breakfast.

From her recount to Access Hollywood viewers, it’s safe to say Myers truly enjoyed her time spent at Sirenian Bay in Placencia, Belize. Munching on fry jacks and sipping on Belizean rum, Lopez and Hoover seemed utterly convinced to make a visit to Belize. Not to mention, you’ll be well taken care of should you choose Sirenian Bay as your stay. Myers may have spent just a short week at the property, but that was all she needed to fall in love with the friendly resort and its warm staff.

“By the week’s end, the staff was more like family,” Myers writes. “Sirenian Bay is like no other in Belize.”
