Need a negative PCR test in order to travel? LAX airport has got your back with a new and super-fast on-site testing facility that delivers results within 3-5 hours. And given two airline carrier resumed non-stop service from LAX to Belize on January 9, 2021, that news couldn’t have come at a better time. Many nations, especially in the Caribbean, Central and South America are still allowing American tourists to visit but are requiring they bring proof of a negative PCR test in order to do so. For Belize-bound passengers out of LAX, a negative PCR test is required within 96-hours of arrival. That’s well within LAX’s testing window!

The type of test offered to travelers departing LAX is the Standard PCR test (nasal-swab Polymerase Chain Reaction), at a cost of US$125 per person. Operating out of Terminal 6 from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, find the rapid testing lab on the Lower/Arrivals level, next to parking structure 6. The rapid testing site at Terminal 6 is operating by appointment only. You can make an appointment online HERE
Other Testing Options in LAX
If you cannot get an appointment for LAX’s rapid PCR test lab at Terminal 6, there are 2 other options at the airport, but they have a slightly longer turn-around time of 24 hours instead of 3-5 hours. Two (2) more PCR testing labs can be found at:
- Terminal 2 at the Lower/Arrivals Level 1, baggage claim area.
- Tom Bradley International Terminal at the Upper/Departures level 3 at the check-in counters located in Aisle C (C01-C05), along the north side of the terminal.
Both of these options will give results within 24 hours and are on a walk-in basis instead of appointment based. The hours of operation for both are 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, and the cost is the same at $125.
