Are you ready to savor the rhythm? The dates for the biggest two-day music festival in Belize are fast approaching, and with the full artist lineup now out, the excitement is palpable. Come July 29th and 30th, all eyes will be on Belize City for the second-ever Belize International Music and Food Festival. Here’s the complete lineup of artists set to take the stage at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex later this month.
Day 1: Dancehall Heavy Hitters and Reggae Icons
Morgan Heritage | Spice | Rotimi | Byron Messia
Opening night of the festival will combine nostalgia-inducing favorites with hot and rising stars for a dynamic evening to suit all tastes. Grammy-winning reggae legend Morgan Heritage will be returning to the Belizean stage for the first time in over a decade. Be prepared to rock and sway to timeless tunes like “She’s Still Loving Me” as well as newly released favorites like “Who Deh Like You”.
Dancehall heavy hitter Spice is also headlining. The Jamaican dancehall queen is beloved by Belizeans and has been shining on the airwaves for over fourteen years. Meanwhile, some might recognize Nigerian-American singer Rotimi from his role in the show Power. His smooth Dancehall/Afrobeat sounds, however, have garnered lots of love in recent years. Rounding out the BIMFF international artist lineup for Day One is up-and-coming Kittitian dancehall star, Byron Messia.
Bad Gyal Sharon | Cassanova | Stig Da Artist | Brithney Starr | Papa John | Kylon Eiley | Ty Musiik | Dre Musiq | Esko | Ivan D Great | Supa Furia Band | Tyree | Yas Thalia | Raven | J Cas | Alexander Evans | Cindy the Violinist
And while the Belize International Music and Food Festival surely has a star-studded lineup of international artists, there will also be no shortage of talented Belizean singers and performers taking the stage. That includes rapper Stig Da Artist, who recently signed with Universal Music Group. Belizean sweetheart Yas Thalia (pronounced ta-lee-ya) is also set to perform. Busy Signal | Lyrikal | Erphaan Alves | Jadel | Skinny Fabulous | Adam O
On Sunday, July 30th, soca and punta music will take the spotlight, with international soca legends Lyrikal and Skinny Fabulous on the lineup. Headlining is none other than Jamaican dancehall reggae artist Busy Signal, known for unforgettable tunes like “Night Shift” and “One More Night”. They’ll be joined by USVI native Adam O as well as Trinidadian soca artist Erphaan Alves.
