This 150-foot high marvel is tucked into a pine forest, which means that there are endless private spots for picnicking – or for changing into swimwear if bathing in a pool with the one you love at the foot of the falls sounds like heaven.

Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley

Situated off the southern tip of Ambergris Caye, this scenic marvel is Belize’s oldest marine reserve, and it’s protected by the government, so whether your biggest dream is seeing the reef, seagrass beds, mangroves or observing nurse sharks and stingrays, take your soulmate here.

This tiny island off the coast of Belize was once an epicenter of romance – for seagulls, that is. Once the breeding ground for a species known as laughing gulls, the birds moved on when the occasional visitor landed on the shore of this haven and interrupted their canoodling. Now a favorite secluded destination for tourists who crave privacy and abhor crowds, not only are the plants and trees gorgeous but you can take your romance underwater since this is a favorite snorkeling paradise.

Moho Caye is an exceptional example of Mother Nature at her very best. Also called Wild Orchid Caye, couples tend to be awestruck when first beholding this stunning 8.38-acre island offering soft sandy beaches and enough lush greenery to remind one of Eden. There’s an excellent chance that your voyage to this little paradise 9 miles west of the Belize Barrier Reef will be rewarded by the striking seascape just beneath the surface where parrotfish, angelfish, blue tang, and other creatures will be happy to swim alongside you when you’re not enjoying the solitude of this beach.

This conservation project is headquartered at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel and for romantics who want to show off their concern for the Earth, there is no more appropriate place to declare your love of wildlife and the object of your affections.
Cave Tubing at Nohoch Che’en Caves Branch Archaeological Reserve
