From the coral-studded islands of the north to the rolling green hills and yellow sand beaches of the south, Belize continues to woo travelers the world over. That’s especially true when it comes to the 2024 TripAdvisor Travelers Choice Awards.
Each year, the travel company recognizes the top restaurants, hotels, and destinations across the globe, dubbing the top 1% as the Best of the Best. This year, a total of five Belize resorts made the list of top hotels in Central America, including regenerative resort Hamanasi, located in Hopkins, which ranked as high as the third best hotel in the region.

While Costa Rica dominates the list of top 5 hotels in Central America, Belize’s Hamanasi Resort has managed to hold its own. The Southern Belize property ranks at #3 for the Best of the Best hotels in the region.

Four other resorts also snagged an award for Best of the Best Hotels in Central America. They included Naia Resort & Spa in Placencia, Ambergris Caye’s Alaia Belize and Coco Beach Resort, and the Belize Collection’s Sleeping Giant Rainforest Lodge. An Ambergris Caye Resort that has been taking over travel TikTok lately, this Autograph Collection resort is luxury in the heart of La Isla Bonita. Travelers love everything from the rooftop terrace pool to the epicurean experiences.

Also found on Ambergris Caye, Coco Beach resort promises an atmosphere of “barefoot luxury”. Found 3 miles north of town, it offers everything from luxury hotel rooms to sprawling penthouse suites.

Nestled in the verdant landscape of Belize’s Sibun Nature Reserve, this Belize Collection resort provides travelers with healthy doses of both relaxation and adventure. “There’s no shortage of activities, from horseback riding and hiking to paddleboarding and kayaking on the river,” writes TripAdvisor.
