Mark Your Calendars: The Belize International Music and Food Festival is Back This Year

by Khaila Gentle

Mark your calendars, and start making your plans for summer. The Belize International Music and Food Festival will be returning in 2023. Come Saturday July, 29th, lovers of all things music, food, and culture, will be gathering at the Marion Jones Sporting Complex in Belize City for two-days of revelry and all around good vibes.

The headlining artists for the second ever BIMFF have yet to be revealed, but judging from last year’s star studded roster, one can only surmise that this year’s appearances will be one for the books as well.

Last year’s festival, the first of its kind, was held at the Saca Chispas Field in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye. Headliners included the young reggae icon, Koffee, as well as soca heavy hitters like Patrice Roberts, Farmer Nappy, and Ricardo Drue. The Belize International Music and Food Festival also featured a host of local artists and DJs including Yas Thalia, Stig da Artist, Denise Castillo and J Cas.

And then, of course, there’s the food aspect of the BIMFF. Last year’s list of vendors featured a smorgasbord of tastes from various ethnic and cultural groups. It included everything from sushi, courtesy Jyoto Sushi Bar, to donuts from Doni & Dodits.
