As a popular seasonal destination for Canadian airline carriers, direct flights to Belize are available through WestJet and Air Canada. These flights, available in Belize for a few years now, allow both Canadians and Belizeans greater connectivity, access to key routes, and more convenient schedules. Announced December 2019, Air Canada increased the number of direct seasonal flights from Toronto, Canada to Belize. Direct non-stop service increased from weekly to Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays during Belize’s high season of tourism, between December and April. Canadians, and international travellers alike, will have ample opportunity to access Belize conveniently. WestJet Airlines already operated seasonal non-stop flights from Toronto to Belize City. Competition in the growing Canada-Belize market is widely expected to result in lower prices for travelers. The initial Toronto-Belize City flight for weekly service began on December 15 – April 13, 2018.
Belize’s International Airport will reopen on October 1

Starting October 1, travelers to Belize will be put through a number of precautionary measures. Including, but not limited to, mandatory temperature checks at the airport, numerous sanitizing procedures, a COVID-19 test result, and agreement to adhere to the Belize Health App.
Tourists can either present a negative PCR test result, taken within the last 72 hours before arrival; or pay for a rapid test within the airport at the traveler’s expense.
