3 Awesome Instagrammable Places in Belize

Belize is a small country with breathtaking surroundings. There are many picturesque places. Beautiful cayes, surrounded by turquoise waters, ancient Maya sites, and majestic waterfalls hidden amongst Belize’s lush jungle are just a few stunning locationsand sites worth visiting and worth capturing beautiful moments to remind you of your travels. As you travel across Belize, walk off the beaten path you may discover some great compositions. Here are our top 3 Instagrammable places to consider when visiting Belize.  

A Maya Site  

A must-do in Belize is to visit a Maya Ruin. Belize remains one of the few countries that allow you to climb to the top of these ancient cities. In the Belize district, you can visit Altun Ha. In the Orange Walk District, you can visit Lamanai. In the South, you can visit Nim Li Punit or Lubaantun. In the Cayo district, you can visit Xunatunich, Caracol and Cahal Pech. Caracol is the largest Maya site and has the tallest structure, with Xunatunich following. Climb to the top of these ancient structures and enjoy a panoramic view of Belize’s lush jungle. The view from the top is worth the climb and worth a picture!  

Belize Sign Monument 

What reminds you more of a place than a photo by a monument with the place spelled out in colorful and bold letters. There are two Belize signs you can pose by in Belize. Both are located in Belize City, one by Baron Bliss Lighthouse while the other on Seashore Drive. These signs make for a fun photograph that can remind you of the country you have visited.  

The Great Blue Hole Window Shot 

When you hear about Belize, many know it because it is home to the Great Blue Hole – considered a top dive site in the world. Many travelers come and dive this popular site considered to be a natural wonder. For those that do not dive, Maya gives you the opportunity to see this magnificent sinkhole from above. The tour takes you over the Belize Barrier Reef and to the Great Blue Hole located 70 km from Belize City. The stunning hues of blue on the barrier reef and seeing this Blue Hole below will be sure to leave you in awe. Photos never really do justice for the experiences had, but certainly, a picture of the Blue from above is a signature shot to get in Belize, & why not make it a selfie!
