Jaguar Adventures

For over 20 years, Jaguar Adventures Tours and Travel has been sharing the beauty and hidden treasures of Belize to tourists with wanderlust for excitement and adventure. These tours include inland excursions to experience wildlife from various destinations in the country; and offshore adventures to popular diving and snorkelling areas, to see the colour spectrum of marine life that our beautiful barrier reef offers.

Inland Excursions

From touring the Maya Ruins  (Lamanai, Altun Ha, Xunantunich) to visiting wildlife sanctuaries at the Crooked Tree Wildlife Sanctuary (the Baboon Sanctuary) and seeing the various species of animals at the Belize Zoo. There is something for everyone to do; if you’re looking for a unique experience, then you can go cave tubing through the majestic cave systems and zip lining through the Belize jungle.  As well as visiting the bold blue morphos at Chaa Creek’s butterfly farm, following a medicinal trail in the rainforest to learn about the traditional ways of healing, and visiting the Maya Ruins at Cahal Pech. There is never a dull moment in Belize when you can have a full day of activities.

Skill level

Some of these activities require a skill level. Climbing the ruins, hiking, cave tubing, and zip-lining are strenuous activities so you must be able to either hike or climb for a certain amount of time.

Offshore Adventures

A sea lover’s greatest dream – experiencing the Belize Barrier Reef; there are also three atolls that you must experience: Turneffe, Lighthouse Reef, and Glover’s Reef Atoll. Turneffe atoll, Lighthouse reef atoll (where the blue hole is located), and the Barrier Reef are all locations where you can go on a diving adventure. However, you don’t have to dive because they offer snorkelling tours to the Barrier Reef and to Drown Caye where you can swim with the graceful manatees.

Diving Certification

If you choose to go diving; you must be a certified diver from organizations such as PADI, SSI, NAUI, or BSAC. You can get certified in Belize through Jaguar Adventures; they have very skilful and certified dive instructors that teach you for 4 days. The cost of this course is $550 USD, and if you don’t know how to swim, that’s no problem because during the course you will learn how to.
