Belize is the last country in Central America to confirm Coronavirus

Belize has managed to dodge the Coronavirus for some time now and is officially the last country in the entire Americas to finally confirm its first case. The Prime Minister of Belize confirmed at a press conference today, March 23rd at 9:15 am that Belize has its first case of COVID-19.  It appears the first case detected in Belize seems to be mild. Ѕhе wіll nоt rеquіrе hоѕріtаlіzаtіоn.

The Government of Belize continues to put in more travel restrictions as well as more social distancing and isolation practices in Belize to continue to mitigate the spreading of the virus. The Prime Minister also confirmed that a brigade of 60 Cuban medical professionals is on its way via Guatemala to assist Belize during this time, and later today the Solicitor General will writing up regulations and will consider penalties for those in contravention of the regulations set out during the COVID-19 Pandemic.
