Doing Dry January? Don’t Miss Hamanasi’s New Lineup of Tropical Mocktails

by Khaila Gentle

Whether you’re opting out of alcohol for Dry January or you choose to do so all year long, Hamanasi Resort in Southern Belize has a mocktail menu that’s sure to impress. After all, who said enjoying a vacation in the tropics has to involve booze? The resort’s onsite restaurant and bar – Singanga, which means dragonfly in the local Garifuna language – is where farm-and-garden-fresh meets culture and health. And with these new mocktails, Hamanasi’s health-forward focus shines through their bar menu, too!

Mangu Dream

What’s in it: mango, guava, rosemary

With Hopkins being the home of Belize’s annual Mango Festival, it’s only right that Mango (Or “Mangu” in Garifuna) be on the bar menu, too. Hamanasi’s Mangu Dream mocktail combines the Caribbean’s favorite fruit with rosemary syrup and chunks of Guava to make a refreshing blended drink.

Chili Watermelonito

What’s in it: watermelon, mint, lime, chili and spices

Looking for something with a bit of spice? Go for a Chili Watermelonito this Dry January. Bold and unique, it’s a blend of watermelon, mint, and of course, chili. Get a taste of it before embarking on one of the many adventures offered by Hamanasi, like exploring the Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary.
