Carolee Chanona

Editorial Contributor

Growing up in the shadow of the Sleeping Giant awakened a sense of adventure and environmental stewardship in Carolee at an early age. Nature’s bounty on the family farm served to encourage her hobby of cooking and the value of Belizean ingredients; this belief was honed with a 2-year tutelage under Chef Sean Kuylen and the Flavors of Belize team. Armed with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Law, Carolee is committed to striking a balance between promoting regenerative tourism in the region alongside Belize’s slow, experiential, nature-based tourism product.

Megan Rodden

Editorial Contributor

Megan’s motto is “work less, play more” and that mantra became the inspiration for both her move to Belize in 2017 and the life she chronicles on her personal blog. She’s always on the lookout for the next adventure and delights in daily opportunities to learn more about the fascinating cultures, cuisines, history, and landscapes of this beautiful country. Megan’s background in Social Services and Broadcast Media has forged her into a Jack-of-many-trades and a master of none. But that’s just fine with her, as she values experiences over achievements.
