The Bucket List Family
The Gee family, famously known as The Bucket List Family on Instagram, is kicking off their annual 12 Days of Bucket List Christmas!
What is it you may ask? Well, this annual tradition is a dream vacation gifting spree for twelve lucky families as a way for the Gee family to give back to their devoted fans. The tradition started back in 2015 after Snapchat bought dad Garrett’s mobile scanning app for $54 million. It was then he and his wife, Jessica, decided to sell all their possessions and use the income to travel the world with their two kids.
The question that started their gifting tradition was when Jessica and Garrett asked themselves ‘What is the most special gift that anyone has ever given us?’ their reply ‘The gift of sight’. They then decided to surprise seven people with Lasik eye surgery that year.
The Gee family then ask themselves the same question every year and then agreed that the greatest gift their family has received is the ability to travel around the world. This then inspired them to share this gift with others, especially those who are not able to have the opportunity to do so.
2019, the 12 Days of Bucket List Christmas offers trips to twelve destinations
This includes places such as Fiji, Europe, Zanzibar, Bermuda, Banff, Cook Islands, an African Safari in Tanzania, Belize, a retreat to the Maldives, a castle stay in Ireland, ski trip in Utah, and Disney World.
Families all around the world can enter. Not to get it mistaken with a sweepstakes, The Bucket List Family selects which family gets chosen to go on these trips, not through random selection, but through careful consideration. They go through each submission and really give it some special care before making a decision.
The entry is quite easy and unique! Individuals can nominate themselves, but can also nominate their friends and family members.
A TRIP TO BELIZE
Belize is one of the destinations chosen this year. Last year the Gee family took a trip to Belize and stayed at Ray Caye Island Resort.
