Here Are 5 Fun Things to Do in Belize During the Week – One for Each Weekday

We can all learn a thing or two from the weekend warriors – those folk who make it their mission to embark on epic adventures and trips at the end of the week. It helps them make the most of their free time, however brief. But who says weekdays can’t be exciting, too? Having special plans to look forward to during the week, can help make Monday to Friday just as enjoyable as the weekend, says Bustle Magazine, and we’re inclined to agree. Looking for something fun to add to your schedule? Here are five experiences to add to your week in Belize – one for every weekday.    

Monday – Rijsttafel dinner at Mare Restaurant

Turtle Inn’s flagship restaurant, Mare, is most well-known for its traditional Italian fare. On Mondays, however,  (and Thursdays, too) epicureans can enjoy the Dutch Indonesian Rijsttafel dinner. Made to be enjoyed in a group setting, Rijsttafel (“rice table”) features an elaborate spread of various Indonesian dishes. Expect curries, seafood, sweet and sour pork belly, sweet plantain fritters, and more.

Tuesday – Taco Tuesdays at Matachica 

Location: 5 miles north of San Pedro Town on Ambergris Caye

Head to the beaches of Ambergris Caye for Taco Tuesdays at Danny’s Tree Bar. Enjoy $3 Tacos and 2 for 1 Margaritas from 2 PM – 5 PM. Take your pick from fish, shrimp, pork, and chicken options. Sit back, relax, and indulge while listening to the musical stylings of San Pedro’s very own Man @ Work.

Wednesday – Whiskey Wednesdays at Da Buzz 

Location: Philip Goldson Highway, Belize City 

In Belize City during the week? Turn to Da Buzz Restaurant and Lounge for whiskey and wings every Wednesday. Found on the Philip Goldson Highway at Mile 1.5, this city bar and eatery serves up $1 wings and $8 Black Label whiskey once weekly. It’s good clean fun with a side of great food and tasty drinks! 

Thursday – Tiburon Thursdays at Tipsy Tuna

Beachfront bar Tipsy Tuna has been a staple in the lives of Placencia residents and frequent visitors for years now. Take a trip to this seaside sports bar for a tipple on Thursdays. Get $2 off all Tiburon drinks. Enjoy them with a side of tacos or Tipsy Tuna wings. Plus, if you’re lucky, you might also get a chance to take part in one of Tipsy Tuna’s karaoke nights.  

Friday – Beachfront Sushi at Blue Water Grill

Sunbreeze Hotel’s Blue Water Grill has a loaded calendar of weekly events, but perhaps the most anticipated is Sushi Fridays (and Tuesdays). Take your pick from an extensive menu that includes items like “lobstar” rolls and spicy mango rolls.
