Lobster, Cashew, Chocolate and Mango Festivals, are seasonal with celebrations for these mouthwatering foods countrywide during this time!

Belize Chocolate Festival

Punta Gorda, Toledo District
Calling all Chocolate lovers to the 12th Annual Cacao Festival in Toledo on May 22 & 23. This three-day event will for sure, resolve that sugar fix of yours. Countless chocolate dishes and also unique sweet and savory delicacies will be available for tasting. Learn about the history of Cacao, a key ingredient long used by the indigenous people. Immerse yourself in Belizean traditions through food and music of the Maya and Garifuna cultures.

 

Cashew Festival

Crooked Tree Village, Belize District
Cashews are in harvest between March and June, which means it is time to indulge in this delightful fruit. Come hungry and ready to treat yourself at the Cashew Festival held at the Crooked Tree Village showground. From Cashew seeds, stewed Cashew, Cashew wine to locally produced jams and jellies – enjoy various Cashew made products.

 

Mango Fest

Hopkins Village
Mangos galore can be found at the Mango Fest, which takes place in Hopkins village in June at the Holy Family Catholic Church. With over 20 types of mango grown in Belize, from Julie Mango, Slipper Mango, and Number Eleven, you name it you will find it at the festival. Moreover, games, music and other entertainment available, make for a fun day out!

 

Lobster Festival

Placencia, San Pedro, and Caye Caulker
Why attend this festival? Of course, to devour the fresh, tasty lobsters! not only that but also to enjoy the company of friendly locals and visitors as they all come together to celebrate and share culture. The days at each location are filled with exciting activities and contests for everyone to enjoy. Even NBC News mentioned that it was one of the world’s best food festival! Lobster can definitely pass as one of the most delicious foods on earth. You also get to choose lobster in a variety of ways to eat.
