Announced August 28, Belize will reopen its international airport for leisurely travel on October 1, 2020, for Phase 3 of its Travel Reopening Plan. However, with a phased reopening, international guests will only be able to stay with accommodations certified through the BTB’s Tourism Gold Standard Recognition Program, an enhanced health and safety protocol. for the safety of travelers. At time of reopening, guests will be limited to resorts and hotels within Belize’s Tourism Safe Corridor.
