The Belize Golf Team competes at Copa Los Volcanes 2022 Tournament

Copa Los Volcanes 2022 starts today! Four days of pristine golf returns to Guatemala, the host country for the third edition of this tournament. Belize Golf Federation players will be representing Belize and their home course Roaring River Golf Course as they play at the San Isidro Club in Guatemala City.

This year Belize will be represented in the tournament by players who qualified in Mexico for the Copa Los Volcanes:

  • Edwin Serrano
  • Rupert Tatum
  • Michael Fields
  • William Mckenzie
  • Ryan Garbutt, and
  • Rodrigo Barrera

Players competing in this tournament consist of other qualified professionals, some recognised in the world ranking. The level of golf in this tournament is prestigious, being played without handicap with high performance players representing their countries.

Today, June 16th is the first official round, as the tournament commences today and ends on the 19th. For those that actively engage in golf, there is nothing like the energy, excitement, and enthusiasm of a golf tournament. Where the Belize Team Practice

Roaring River Golf Course is a Par 64 executive style course located just outside the capital City of Belmopan in Roaring Creek. The double tees measure a total of 3,892 yards, with a slope rating of 116 on tight fairways to each tee box. Guests can of course walk, but golf carts are available for rent when golfing. Onsite, Roaring River extends its hospitality with 8 casitas available for overnight accommodations and a restaurant.  Visitors and non-members are welcomed, with gear rental also available.
