Hello August!
The last weeks of summer are upon us. We’re taking this time to take a look back at what happened this summer and what we have to look forward to as the summer days come to an end.
In June and July, we got to enjoy all the festivals like Hopkins Mango Fest and the opening of lobster season. It was a flurry of tropical fun! It seems that the hotter it is, the more people want to fire up with parties. We refreshed ourselves in natural pools and dived into the Caribbean Sea only to bask in the sun after a dip. A tall glass of natural juice or an icy cold Belikin remedied the heat too. The end of summer can be a bummer but not in Belize.
Fall in Love with Fall
There is no need to worry as fall months are equally as jam-packed with celebrations. In August you can look forward to the Costa Maya Festival and Grand Caribe Fishing Tournament in San Pedro as well as the crowning of Miss Belize Universe. Not to mention the launch of the Fall Issue of Caribbean Culture and Lifestyle: The Belize Edition on the 15th of August.
The Fall Issue will hit stands countrywide and we are living for it! Read about majestic wildlife, learn how to wow your guests at your next dinner party and why Belize is the ideal location for a destination wedding. If you’re wondering what the cover will be, let’s just say that it will leave you feeling like you just walked into an erotic romance novel.
A September to Remember
In September the entire country is in party mode! Expect to revel in the festivities with the Soca and Culture Festival, fetes and J’ouvert. Prepare to jump up at the long-awaited Carnival Road March taking place on September 8th in Belize City. Get down to the musical stylings of steel pans at Pan Yaad. Feel the proudness of patriotism during the flag-raising ceremonies and Independence Day Parade.
Wear your hats and bring sunscreen because fall in Belize is hotter than the summer!
