The Caribbean Travel Marketplace is the region’s largest B2B meeting event for Hospitality & Tourism buyers, sellers, and travel agents. This year, the 41st edition of the marketplace is being hosted, for the first time in history, by Barbados. It’s set to take place from May 9th to 11th, 2023 at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre in Bridgetown. The previous marketplace was held in Puerto Rico in October.

According to Caribbean News Weekly, the marketplace is the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association‘s (CHTA) largest event of the year.

CHTA has a very strong relationship with both public and private sector stakeholders in Barbados, and as we position the region’s top earner for robust growth this year, we are delighted to lock arms with our Bajan partners to drive business to the Caribbean.

Like Belize, Barbados’ tourism industry has seen a record breaking recovery from the covid-19 pandemic. And according to that country’s tourism minister, Ian Gooding-Edghill, the timing could not be better to welcome Caribbean Travel Marketplace to Barbadian soil.

“We are honored to host such a preeminent gathering of tourism stakeholders from around the world,” said Minister Gooding-Edghill.

Another thing that Barbados shared with Belize: delicious cuisine, rich history and some of the best beaches.

While registration details are not yet available, those interested can visit the Caribbean Travel Marketplace website for more information. Last year’s event also saw the launch of the first ever Caribbean Travel Forum & Awards.
