While PCR pre-testing in the 72 hours of travel to Belize is strongly suggested, it is not mandatory. Instead, travelers have the option to opt for a double rapid test inside the Belize airport’s health clinic, at a cost to the traveler. Travelers with a valid PCR test can access the airport’s ‘fast track lane’; those taking a rapid test can exit the airport and await test results at their Gold Standard accommodation. If positive, travelers will need to quarantine at their own expense until cleared negative.
